He was predeceased by: his parent Andrew Sluder; and his son Larry Sluder. He is survived by: his parent Flora Hurt Sluder; his wife Alma Sluder; his daughters, Rita Lorene Cox of Bristol, TN and Linda Sluder Gunter; his nephew Doyle Calhoun of Newland, NC; and his nieces, Glenda Calhoun Yates of Newland, NC, Joyce Benfield Brewer and Gina Benfield Barrier.
