She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Edgar Pullen and Mary Vance Pullen; her husband Sanford Jack Nelson, Sr.; her daughter Lisa Renee Nelson; her grandson Steven Allen Nelson; and her brother Billy Jo "Whitey" Pullen.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mrs. Nelson's honor to the American Heart Association or the National Kidney Foundation.
