He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie Obal and Mary Ruth King Reed; his brother Dennis Reed; and also Ted Blanton. He is survived by: his wife Mary "Martie" Reed; his children, Shawn Reed (Jacqueline), Kammee Lindsey (Shawn), Joseph Cassady (Brandy) and Hunter Reed; his grandchildren, Michael Reed (Mandy), Shawn Jr., Eddy Reed, Ethan Lindsey, McKaylen Cassady and Alyson Cassady; his great grandchild Micah Reed; his sisters, Kathy Miller and Nancy Gilley; and his close friends, Ronnie Roberts, Robert Barr, Steve Vaughn, Phil Cross, Chris Thomas and Rob Eshom. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
