He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Harmon Lyon and Myrtle Bott Lyon; his former wife Jensey L. Harkleroad Lyon; his brother Staton Clyde Lyon; and his brother-in-law Arvey Houck.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Sue Lyon (Mottern); his son John Lyon (Tom) of Hurricane, WY; his stepchildren, Karen Lyons (Marvin) of Bluff City and David Lindamood (Angie) of Bluff City; his grandson Earl Lyon (Amanda) of Gray; his stepgrandchildren, Brack of Piney Flats and Hannah Lindamood of Piney Flats; his great grandchildren, Coen, Hadley Lindamood, Samantha and Andrew Lyon; his sister Margaret "Lois" Houck of Bluff City; and his close friends, Don and Marie Friesland. He is also survived by Several nieces, nephews and other extended family.
