She was predeceased by: her parents, Jessie Stewart and Samuel Gudger Rose; her husband Reuben J. Morrell; and her sisters, Bessie Winona Rose, Mary Alice Rose Davis and Elva Mae Rose Hitch.
She is survived by: her children, Rick, Brenda Morrell (Dunlap), William (Bill), Desi Morrell (Bennett), Patty (Morrell) and Charles F. Seeger III; her grandchildren, Matthew Morrell (Melanie), Benjamin Morrell (Mandy), Amber Morrell Shelton (Eric), Shawn Jones (Heather), Amanda Morrell Boyer (Chase), Chase Seeger (Emilee) and Christa Seeger Tilley (Jacob); and her brother-in-law Raymond Morrell. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter.
In lieu of, memorials in Bertie Jo's name may be made to First Christian Church of Bluff City, the Bristol Virginia Parks and Recreation Department Senior Citizens Show Choir or to Isaiah 117 House in Sullivan County.
