She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Perkey and Georgia Perkey; her siblings, Mary Newman, Bobbie Jo Newman, Robert Perkey and Donald Perkey; her parents-in-law, Huey William Reed and Altha Reed; her nephew Jeffrey Dean Simms; and her brother-in-law James Blalock.
She is survived by: her husband Donald Reed; her daughters, Mandy Wilson (Ty), Donna Kay Barnette (Todd) and Teresa Jones (Myron); her grandchildren, Tyler, Mahayla (Hunter), Brayden, Oakland Mae and Brittany (Seth); her nephew Austin Perkey; her siblings, Shelma Blalock, Sue Shackleford, Robin Bragg Hoss, Penny Millard, David Perkey (Loretta), Ronnie Perkey (Derrick) and Jimmy "Doodle Bug" Perkey (Jennifer); and her close friends, Mildred and Phyllis. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a host of friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to American Cancer Society in memory of Shirley.
