She was predeceased by: her parents, J. Carl Mayes and Hazel McElhaney Mayes of Corryton, TN; her husband Elmer L. Baughard; her children, Deborah Baughard and Michael Baughard; her siblings, Allie Mae King (Lloyd), Dorothy Slagle (Sam), John C. Mayes, Jr. (Mick) and Jess Mayes, Sr. (Flora); her siblings-in-law, John L. Conley and Barbara Mayes; and her son-in-law Charles E. Mitchell.
She is survived by: her daughter Sharon Mitchell; her grandchildren, Shawn Mitchell and Shannon Mitchell; her great grandchildren, Jacob P. Mitchell, Jamaree Moore, Jazmine and Jadaisha LaCure; her great great grandchild Jacari Gallatin; her siblings, Jackie C. Mayes, Sr., Jerry L Mayes and Juanita Mayes Conley; and her friends, Edna Lee and Mike Stiles of Bossier City, LA.. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
