He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Cooper and Cora Cooper; his siblings, Sharon Moore and Roger Cooper; his niece Miranda Boshears; and his nephew James Boshears.
He is survived by: his children, Joshua Byrge (Samantha) of Clinton and Bridget Cooper (Danny) of Rocky Top; the mother of his children Gretta Boshears of Clinton; his close friend Sherry Swisher of Blaine; his grandchildren, Jordan Byrge, Dylan Byrge, Emilee Byrge, Cason Byrge, Breahna Cooper and Addisyn Daugherty; his siblings, Josie Hightower, Shirley Martin, Debbie Cooper and Tommy Cooper; and his nieces and nephews, Sherman Cooper, Joseph Cooper, Adam Martin, Tim Martin, Jackie Martin, Connie Hightower, Corrina Cooper and Jerri Hawkins. He is also survived by other great nieces and nephews and cousins.
