She is survived by: her husband Emilio Olivares; her children, James Adams (Jahanna), Maya Rose Reed (Kiron), Kirklan Adams and Patrick Adams (Ramie); her adoptive son Joseph Massengill; her grandchildren, Hazel Adams, Harley Adams, Sammy Reed, Morgan Reed, Emma Adams and Hunter Adams; her siblings, Amelia Gayle Gaddis (Ricky) and James Edward Stamey; and her close friend Sharon Smith Davis.
