He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde McDaniel and Ruby "Annie" McDaniel; his sisters, Gail McDaniel, Kathy Williams and Rebecca McDaniel; and his son-in-law Mitchell Martin.
He is survived by: his wife Alice Herron McDaniel; his daughters, Jennifer Willoughby (Charlie), Kim Martin and Gail West (Sach); his siblings, Shirley McDaniel, John S. McDaniel and Bill McDaniel; his grandchildren, Charles Willoughby, Hayley Willoughby, Nick Martin, Erikka West and James West, Jr.; and his great grandchildren, Levi Forester and Kayelee Jordan. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren and many other extended family.
