He was predeceased by: his wife Carolyn Shannon; his parents, Wiley Shannon and Ethel Shannon; and his siblings, Betty King, Linda Layne, Gene Shannon, Kenneth Shannon and Frank Shannon.
He is survived by: his son Willie Shannon (Denise); his sister Margie Ward; and his grandchildren, Tyler Kelley, Atlas Shannon and Eva Rae Shannon. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
