He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Carson and Della Carson; and his siblings, Charles Carson, Ruth Pope and Velma Thomas.
He is survived by: his children, Melinda McWhorter of Big Rock, TN, Kelly Gale of Clarksville, TN, William Dell Carson, Jr. of Memphis, TN and Clayton Ladell Carson of Bunnell, FL; and his sister Linda Ehle of Atlanta, GA. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
