She was predeceased by: her parents, Noel Thomas Johnston and Mary Francis Huff Johnston; her husband Raymond Allen Shelton Her; and her brothers, Woodrow, Clarence and Junior Johnston. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
