He was predeceased by: his parents, Silas C. Furr and Anna Bessie Cantrell Furr; his wife F. Kathryn Drummond Furr; his son Mark Duane Furr; and his siblings, L. C. "Cedar" Furr, James Carl Furr, Anna Louise "Bug" Stegman, Mildred Wood and Imogene Renfro.
He is survived by: his children, Jeff Furr of Bethpage, James Eric Furr (Charlotte) of Bethpage, Joel Kelly Furr of Bethpage, Paula Anderson of Shelby, MT and Ellen Rae Rush (Lyle) of Shelby, MT; and his siblings, J. D. Furr of Bullhead City, AZ and Wilma Baker of Joplin, MO. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
