He was predeceased by: his parents, N. C. Whitefield and Ethel Stewart Meadors Whitefield; his son Eric Whitefield; and his brother Roger Meadors. He is survived by: his wife Anita Copas Whitefield; his son Christopher Whitefield; his daughter-in-law Aislinn Whitefield; his grandchildren, Shane, Jared, Landan, Lauren and Emmy Whitefield; and his siblings, Marvin Whitefield (Marianne), Ronnie Whitefield, Tony Whitefield, Larry Meadors (Judy), Wanda Weems, Kathy Whitefield, Linda Sloan and Janice Huntsman (Kenneth).
