He is survived by: his wife Gayle Derryberry Garrison; his children, Camille Pickering (Barry), Joe M. Jr Garrison (Stacy), Tim Garrison (Lee Ann) and Todd Garrison (Anna Jean); his grandchildren, Joe (Sarah), Caleb (Stacey), Stephen, Desiree, Tyler, Grant, Thomas, Jessica, Braden and Will; his great grandchildren, Lena, Megan, Luke and Charlotte; his siblings, James Garrison (Jo) and Carol Brown (Ken) of Joy Powell; and his siblings-in-law, Evelyn Garrison and Newton Derryberry (Leah). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
