He was predeceased by: his parents, Astor Hodges and Jewel Pike Hodges; his wife Myrtle Hodges; his daughter Monica Hodges; and his siblings, Linda Lovell, Charlotte Hodges and James Milton Hodges.
He is survived by: his children, Rhonda Guinn (David) of Bethpage and James Hodges of Bethpage; his grandchildren, Amber Hyatt, Thomas Spearman and Andre Hodges; and his siblings, Ruth Scott of Portland, Joy Brooks of Gallatin and Astor Hodges, Jr. of Bethpage. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
