He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert H. Clayton and May Mitchel Clayton; his son John David Clayton, Jr.; and his siblings, Marie Collie, Willie Albert Garner, Jewell Lynch, Anna Anderson, Murray Clayton, Hoyte Clayton, Billy Clayton and Gayle Clayton.
He is survived by: his wife Frances Clayton (Strain) of Bethel Springs, TN; his son Barry Lynn Clayton (Hollie); and his grandsons, Albert Lynn Clayton (April) and Trey Clayton. He is also survived by many extended family and friends.
