He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Leslie and Dorothy Kiser Edwards; and his brothers, Ross Lee, Robert and Steven Edwards.
He is survived by: his wife Burnette Edwards of Bethel Springs, TN; his children, Jerry Shane Edwards Martin (Michelle) of Morehead, KY, Jeromy Edwards (Giovanna) of Jackson, TN, Shannon Renee Edwards (Jody Mankey) of Bethel Springs, TN, Gary Ross Edwards of Hornsby, TN and Brandon Lee Edwards of Bethel Springs, TN; his siblings, Linda Howell (William) of Selmer, TN, Shirley Derryberry of Selmer, TN, Tammy Mayer (Edwards) of Jackson, TN, Jeff Edwards (Judy) of Selmer, TN and William Leslie Edwards (Amanda) of Marietta, MS; and his siblings-in-law, Zeke Singleton of Bethel Springs, TN, Brenda Parchman (Terry) of Hornsby, TN and Christie Edwards. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren.
