He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Jean Nix; his parents, Roy Glen Nix and Margaret Lorraine Nix; and his siblings, Barbara Ann Nix, Bobbie Joe (Creed Powers), Billy Lynn Nix (Ruth Nix) and Jimmy Glenn Nix (Irene Nix).
He is survived by: his children, Pam (Joe Hall), Tammy Harris, Kim Nivens, Ruby Ann Nix, Rodney Nix and Roy Nix, Jr. (Eddie); his grandchildren, Brianna Nix, April (Garrett McKamie), Dustin (Chari Moser), Corey Anthony Moser and Joshua (Morgan Harris); his great grandchildren, Peyton Garland, Kennedy, Ezra McKamie, Copper Harris and Caladon Cato; his brother Tom; and his sister-in-law Paulette Nix.
