He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hoyt and Louise Pippenger; his sister Evelyn; and his brother-in-law Ed Lee. He is survived by: his wife Ellen Crumley Pippenger; his daughters, Valerie Pippenger of Woodstock and Karen Pippenger of Loveland, Ohio; his brothers, Johnny Pippenger (Jean) of Benton, Dean Pippenger (Diahana) of Guild and Kenneth Pippenger (Sandra) of Tullahoma, Tennessee; his sister-in-law JoAnn Hannah; and his close friends, Freeman Curbow, Gang, John Bramlett, Junior Bramlett and Charles Lawson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
