She was predeceased by: her parents, John H. Johnson and Edna Johnson; her husband J. P. Bates; and her siblings, Raymond Johnson, Annie Hullender, Johnnie Fisher, Dimple Brock, Lilly Gurley, William "Buck" Johnson, Gene Johnson, Bid Self and Margie Johnson.
She is survived by: her children, Dennis Bates and Vicki Burris (David); her grandchildren, Amanda Burris and Justin Burris (Kara); her great grandchildren, Kimber, Carsen and Camryn Burris; and her sister Sue Self.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Zion Baptist Church (953 Parksville Rd, Benton, TN 37307). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Zion Baptist Church Cemetery (953 Parksville Rd, Benton, TN 37307).
