It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elmer W. Wilson Jr. of Benton, Tennessee, who passed away on November 23, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Allene Cummings and Elmer W. Wilson, Sr.; his former wife Barbara Wilson; his siblings, Opal Thornton, David Wilson and Billy Wilson; and his son-in-law Carl Saylor.
He is survived by: his wife Mary C. Wilson; his daughters, Zenda Saylor, Cindy Wilson Watkins (W. C.), Connie Born (Steve) and Starla Casteel (Randy); his stepson Bryan Thomas (Betty); his grandchildren, Leslie Sampson, Steve Sampson (Sarah), Jennifer Ensley (Matt), Jordan Provancal (Jason), Jessica Vida (Matt), Candis Cain (Josh), Kevin Born, Douglas Cogswell (Ashton) and Emily Casteel; and his great grandchildren, Hayley Larabee (Landon), Harlee Davis, Trace Robertson, Courtney Daugherty (Dylan), Cali Cain, Lily Martin, Alilyana Cogswell, Charlie Martin, Carson Cain, Aubrey Cogswell and Hannah Sampson. He is also survived by step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
