She was predeceased by: her son Jamie Swanson; her mother Claude Waters; and her grandparents, Charles Arthur and Alice Hilliard Waters of Virginia. She is survived by: her cousin Jo Ann Combs (Jeff).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place.
