He was predeceased by: his parents, Ezra Dean Pettigrew and Stella Blanche Threadgill Pettigrew of Bemis, Tennessee.; his wife Mary Ann Graves Pettigrew; his sister Jean Pettigrew Weaver; his nephew Greg Weaver; and his grandson Trae Keller.
He is survived by: his sons, Gary (Sharon), Jack (Glenda) and Woody (Judy); and his grandchildren, Shannon Roberts (Will), Rob Pettigrew (Melissa), Scott Pettigrew (Katherine), Mary-Wyatt Pettigrew, Jackson Pettigrew, Everette Pettigrew, Talton Pettigrew (Sarah) and Lester Dean Pettigrew. He is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren.
