He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Howard Janey of Sewanee, TN and Frances Elizabeth Knott Janey; his wife Joy Cunningham Janey; and his son David Jonathan Janey. He is survived by: his sister Rebecca; his friend Laura Lowndes; his former wife Suzie Wilson; his daughter Laura Janey Mullins (Clay); his grandchildren, Colin and Caitlain Mullins; his brother John Janey; his nephews, Bruce and Matthew Janey; and also, Peggy Ridings, Cheryl Ault (Brian), Elizabeth and Zachary Ault.
