He is survived by: his wife Suzie Herd of Belvidere; his children, Amy Herd Foster (Randy) of Winchester, Joseph Phillip Herd (Teresa) of Belvidere, Jenny Herd Crabtree (Sean) of Winchester and Suzanna Herd Scrivener (Brett) of Franklin; his grandchildren, Faith Foster Wine (John) of Winchester, Joseph Robert Foster (Mandy) of Carthage, Olivia Brooke Herd of Belvidere, Hollis Tucker Herd of Belvidere, Marilee Crabtree of Winchester, Wilson Joseph Scrivener of Franklin and Logan Marie Scrivener of Franklin; and his great grandchildren, John Wesley Wine, Jackson Wine, Jace Wine, Jonah Wine, Lawson Foster, Ethan Foster and Alex Foster.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Winchester First United Methodist Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
