It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Evangeline Cowan (Bells, Tennessee), who passed away on January 24, 2025, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Jim; her parents, Plomer Williams and Bessie Williams; and her siblings, Ailene, Joan, Peggy, Lynn, Jim and Hiawatha.
She is survived by: her sister Essonia Silvia of Jackson, TN; her children, Pat Hendrix of Bells and Dan (Brenda) of Bells; her grandchildren, Josh Hendrix (Samantha) of Bells, Rachel DeGroat (Robb) of Bakers Mills, NY, Joseph Cowan (Kristin) of Lakeland, TN and David (Stephanie) of Gray, TN; and her great grandchildren, Mason, Drue, Caden, Corbin, Timmy DeGroat, Morgan, Hadleigh, Eli Cowan, Gabriel and Nathan Cowan.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bells Funeral Home (5342 College St, Bells, TN 38006). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 12:15 PM to 1:15 PM at the Marlowe Cemetery Marlow Cemetery.
