He was predeceased by: his mother Inez Helton Bryant; his sister Dorothy Anne Helton Bryant (James); and his son Waylon Anthony "Tony" Helton. He is survived by: his wife Betty Jean; his daughter Dawn Renee Helton Baskin (Sam) of Walter Hill; his daughter-in-law Martha McCallie Helton of Fosterville; his grandchildren, Ryan, Brandon Baskin of Murfreesboro, Hunter Helton of Fosterville, Clint Insell (Jennifer) of Shelbyville and McKenzie Insell Carroll (Matt) of Dresden; his nephew Robert Bryant (Beverly); and his niece Kaye Hanson. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
