It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry Wayne Gowan of Belfast, Tennessee, who passed away on August 4, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Jerry had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Jerry may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Gowan and Elease Pierce Gowan; his children, Michael Keith Gowan and Vicky Gowan; his stepson Chris Rowe; and his siblings, Bobby Gowan and Barbara Shaw.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Dean Gowan; his daughter Rhonda Gowan of Lewisburg; his stepson Jeffrey Rowe (Shannon) of Lewisburg; and his sister Paulette Clark (Tommy) of Lewisburg. He is also survived by three granddaughters and six great granddaughters.
