We are sad to announce that on January 21, 2022, at the age of 85, Douglas Lewis Summey Sr. of Belfast, Tennessee, born in Acworth, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Summey and Willie Ruth Ingram Summey. He is survived by: his sister Lorene Webster; his grandson Timothy Glen Teeples; his son Thomas James Summey; his wife Sandra McGill Teeples Summey of Belfast; his children, Douglas Summey, Jr. of Dallas, GA and Linda Bragg (Lester) of Acworth, GA; his stepchildren, Tony Teeples (Anieca) of Bowling Green, KY, Karyl Nolley (Barry) of Pulaski, TN, Ronald Teeples (Lisa) of Petersburg and Leslie Sanders of Belfast; his sister Willie Lois Franklin of Acworth, GA; and his close friend Roger Medley of Belfast. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Red Cross Tornado Relief for Bowling Green, KY and St Jude Children Hospital.
