He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Hackney and Ola Mae Poole Hackney; and his wife Earline Hackney. He is survived by: his children, Pamela Brownlee and Phillip Hackney; his grandchildren, Tracy Brooksher (Bobby), Shane Layhew (Brandie), Rusty Layhew, Steven Hackney and Amber Brennstuhl (Adam); his great grandchildren, Maisie Diseker (Dach), Rickey Brooksher, Garner Brooksher, Haelee Brooksher, Payton Layhew, Teagan Layhew, Greyson Layhew, Madisyn Layhew, Autym Conaster (Dylan), Andrea Brennstuhl and Adalyn Brennstuhl; his great great grandchildren, Ryker and Lylah Diseker; his brother Bennie Hackney (Jane); and his pets, Big Bo and Little Bo. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
