He was predeceased by: his parents, James A. Gastineau and Mae Edna Smith Gastineau; and his siblings, Mildred Mae Winkler and Arnold Lee Gastineau. He is survived by: his children, James C. Gastineau II (Connie), Dianna Scruggs and Elisha King (Monte); his siblings, Wayman Gastineau (Ruby), Loyd Gastineau and Carol Faye Gastineau; and his grandchildren, Cooper Gastineau, Caley Gastineau, Erica Bryant, Victoria Grow (Luke), Kathleen Scruggs, Jude King and Sydney King. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
