He was predeceased by: his wife Karen Ann Cox; his parents, James Kermit and Fannie Mae Parks Cox; and his siblings, Charles, Houston Cox, Helen Miller and Sylvia Siebert.
He is survived by: his children, Angela Jane Cox, Paul Cox, Jr. (Cynthia), John Kermit Cox (Joann) and Sean Robert Cox (Christine); and his sister Vicky Copi. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.
