He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert F. and Ella Long. He is survived by: his wife Katherine; his children, Jerry Long (Carole) and Ginger; and his grandchildren, Rob Long and Amethyst Carpenter. He is also survived by two sisters, and many nieces and nephews.
