He was predeceased by: his parents, Alonzo Helton and Hazel Hopper Stevenson; his wife Ella Marie Helton; his daughter Helen Dean Wright; his siblings, Edgar Helton and Helen Messer; and his son-in-law Tim Miniard.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Burton Trent (Pete), Glenda Martin (Terry), Kylene Miniard and John Helton (Darlene); and his siblings, James, Phillip Helton and Eva Ramsey. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
