He was predeceased by: his parents, Solon Herald and Alga Butts Herald. He is survived by: his siblings, Frances O'Neil Hodges of Oak Ridge and Eddie Ray; his sister-in-law Sue Herald of Cookeville; his nieces, Tammy Dronebarger, Grace Hodges and Mary Spahn; and his nephew Jimmy Hodges.
