She was predeceased by: her parents, John Oliver Rodgers and Callie Minnie Rodgers (Philpot); her husband Dallas Junior Hargis; her son David Mitchell Chaffin; and her siblings, Oscar, Floyd, Clifford, Edward Rodgers, Mabel Scarlett and Dorean Lafever.
She is survived by: her sons, Kenneth (Mary Hargis) and Dennis Hargis; her grandchildren, Amanda Burkett, Jason (Kate Chaffin), Deana Hargis, Annie (Jason Longmire), Heather (Kyle Story) and Josh (Jessica Hargis); and her great grandchildren, Walker, Carson Burkett, Noah, Kenlee, Saylor Longmire, Daniel, Libby, Jaxson, Aiden Hargis, Scout and Jackson Chaffin.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Baxter Church of Christ Care Center.
