With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Sonja Elaine Jenkins of Baxter, Tennessee, born in Romulus, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 23, 2024 at the age of 72. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edd Swindell and Ida Mae Goodwin Swindell; her birth mother Sallie Sirry; and her sister Laura Valleroy. She is survived by: her children, Maleigha Greene (Mickey) of Sparta, TN and Chad Jenkins of Baxter, TN; her granddaughters, Michaela Haney (Austin) and Mackenzie Price (Cody) of Sparta, TN; her great grandchildren, Addalynn and Anika Haney; and her pet Toby.
She loved her years of working in the Alzheimer's unit at Life Care Center of Sparta.
