He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Paskell and Ocia Erma Rice Burgess; and his siblings, Ruby Helen Helms, Ruthie Lee Boyd, Reba Joyce Flatt, Willie Dillon Burgess, Robert Dale Burgess and Lloyd Ray Dean Burgess.
He is survived by: his daughter Amy Burgess Jenkins; his sister Cleo Cole; his granddaughters, Lacey Myers (Josh) of Cookeville and Lindsey Vaughn of Cookeville; his great grandchildren, Kai, Beau, Hunter, Brookelynne and Raelyn; and his pet Wallie. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Baxter Chapel (532 4th Ave S, Baxter, TN 38544). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
