He is survived by: his wife Valerie Sue Browning Helms of Baxter; his children, Thomas Earl Evans of Baxter, Derrick Lee Helms of Baxter, Jacob Lee Daniel Helms of Baxter, Erica Lashay Helms of Baxter, Summer Ann Smith (Mychael) of Cookeville, Lisa Marie Durr (Philip) of Marble Hill, MO and Nicole Genarie Bane of Buffalo Valley, TN; his siblings, Larry Helms of Gallatin, TN and Connie Maynard (Bill) of Baxter; his grandchildren, Wade James Chaffins, Bailey Morgan Matthews, Hannah Marie Gillin, Michael Patrick Helms, Anthony Isaiah Helms, Carson Hunter Johnson and Paislee Elizabeth Johnson; his nieces, Christina Mick (Tony) and Mary Helms; and his nephew Matthew Helms.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Boma Community Center (3500 Boma Community Center Rd, Baxter, TN 38544).
