It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Matthews of Baxter, Tennessee, who passed away on October 17, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Mary departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Mary. Though Mary may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She is survived by: her husband John H. Matthews Jr.; her daughter Lynn Fountain; her son-in-law David Fountain; her granddaughter Hannah Rose Fountain of Tulsa, OK; and her sister-in-law Sharon Travis of Glasgow, KY.
