He was predeceased by: his parents, Loyd Maxwell and Ruth Sutton Maxwell; and his sister Jean Taylor. He is survived by: his children, Brandy Maynord (Daniel) of Phoenix City, AL and Zackary Maxwell of Baxter; his grandchildren, Kylie and Isabella Maynord; his brother Terry Maxwell (Teresa) of Smithville; his brother-in-law Wayne Taylor; his niece Amanda Maxwell; his nephews, Robbie Maxwell (Alicia) and Ken Taylor (Cindy); his aunt Charlie Mai Maxwell; and his cousins, Sammie Ray, Steve and Gayle.
