He is survived by: his wife Opal Burgess (Long); his daughters, Connie Darlene Burgess, Tammy Lynn Ray and Teresa Burgess-Ogilvie; his stepdaughters, Marcy Randolph and Penny Cox; his grandchildren, Jason Gibson, Blake Pearson, Emily McCoy, Tara Martin, Alyssa Cuma, Sara Upchurch, Jessica Webb and Zanel Parker; and his siblings, Doug Burgess, Donnie Burgess, Tony Burgess, Ruby Jo Maynard, Eris Bryant and Eula Gentry.
