It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elgie Lee Dennis Sr. of Baxter, Tennessee, born in Cookeville, Tennessee, who passed away on April 9, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jordan Dennis and Annie Bell Adams Dennis; his wife Ruth Young Dennis; and his siblings, Dean Caruthers and Frank Dennis.
He is survived by: his children, Brenda Greenwood (Eddie) of Baxter, Belinda Dennis of Baxter and Elgie Dennis, Jr. of Baxter; his sister Pauline Richardson of Sparta; his grandchildren, Brittany Rodgers, Micah DeGroat, Matthew DeGroat, Tayler Roberts (Colby), Abby Cannon (Winston) and Logan Greenwood; and his great grandchildren, Aleeia Rodgers, Shaylee Rodgers and Brendan Greenwood.
