She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernie Powell and Viola Bushor Powell; and her brothers, Monroe, Fred, Bud and Don Powell.
She is survived by: her husband Edward Earl Carter of Baxter, TN; her brother Paul Powell of Las Vegas, NV; her sister-in-law Frances Kemp of Carthage, TN; and her nephew Craig Powell (Cindy) of Ortonville, MI.
