He was predeceased by: his parents, Roosevelt Whitefield and Myrtle Carter Whitefield; his wife Joanna Oakes Whitefield; his daughter Sherry Whitefield; and his brother Raymon Whitefield.
He is survived by: his daughters, Debbie (Wayne Mitchell) and Millie (Mike Gammons); his grandchildren, Kelly Stiriz (Charlie), Nick Mitchell (Liz), Travis Dedmon (Lynnsey) and Nicole Starkey (Jared); and his great grandchildren, Chaz, Anna, Camilla, Marshall and Stella.
