William Axton Obituary
We are sad to announce that on April 21, 2022, at the age of 80, William Axton (Bartlett, Tennessee) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Rufus Axton; his children, William L. Axton, Jr. and Carolyn Axton; his brothers, Jimmy, Sonny and Axton, Sr.; and his stepson James Starnes.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Axton; his children, Tabitha Hobgood (Johnny), Richard Axton and Shauna Baldwin (Curtis); and his stepchildren, Janet Way (Bob), Julia Conner (Kendall), John Starnes, William Starnes (Dee) and Susan Starnes. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Chambers Chapel Cemetery Fund in care of 3979 Chambers Chapel Rd, Lakeland, TN 38002.
