He is survived by: his children, Gerald Wayne Holmes (Stephanie) of Memphis and Kimberly Ivey (Andy) of White House, Tennessee; his siblings, Nancy Spears of Savannah, Tennessee and Billy Holmes of Lexington, Tennessee; his grandchildren, Matthew Holmes, Wesley Holmes, Thomas Ivey, Benjamin Ivey and Wyatt Ivey; and his great grandchild Charlotte Jean Holmes.
