He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Wilson and Gladys Wilson; his wife Lynda Wilson; his son Ronnie Wilson Jr.; and his siblings, Wardell Wilson, Nell Campbell and Fran Wallace.

He is survived by: his children, Marc Wilson, John Pillsbury Jr. (Sherry) and Angela Pillsbury; his daughter-in-law Amy Wilson (Lonnie Stainback); and his sisters, Jean DeShazo and Melba Pike. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Colon Cancer Coalition.
